Rising Sun - 2023

In 2022 I was asked by Camden RSL Sub Branch to sing THE SOLDIER at the dawn service on Anzac Day, it was well received and I was grateful and delighted to contribute.

The Sub Branch has invited me to sing again in 2023 - it is a great honour to be asked.

When asked, I felt uncertain that I could contribute something that matched The Soldier, it is a special song and has proved itself over the last 8 years.

I chose to write a new song for the occasion - to be delivered on Anzac Day 2023 in Camden. It is called RISING SUN and in one months time this song will get its first performance. I am nervous about presenting a new song and I hope to recognise the service of many - I have sought feedback from some ADF people I know; they think the song is acceptable as a tribute to their service.

So I will give it my best shot.
